Intuitive News & Media Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as “MP Breaking News” / “We” / “Us” / “Our”) publishes this Editorial Policy to explain how Our newsroom selects, verifies, presents and updates news and information. This policy works together with Our Code of Ethics, Fact Checking Policy, and Corrections Policy.
Editorial mission
MP Breaking News was founded to bridge the gap between fast-moving headlines and what readers need to understand. We prioritise clarity, public interest and accountability over speed alone. When sufficient information is not available, We wait, verify and contextualise rather than speculate.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions are made by Our journalists and editors, not by advertisers, sponsors or external political or commercial interests. Business operations and editorial judgment remain separate. No advertiser or partner may review or approve news copy before publication, except where content is clearly labelled as sponsored or advertorial.
- Newsroom leadership has final authority on story selection, tone and placement.
- Commercial relationships do not determine which stories are covered or how they are framed.
- Staff must disclose personal or financial conflicts that could affect coverage and recuse themselves when appropriate.
Accuracy, fairness and verification
We aim for due accuracy in every report. Claims are checked with scepticism; assumptions are questioned; and conventional wisdom is tested against evidence. The level of verification depends on the nature of the story—investigative, breaking, human-interest and data-led pieces may require different source depth.
Detailed verification standards are set out in Our Fact Checking Policy, including multi-source checks, documentary evidence where possible, on-record interviews, and clear labelling when information cannot yet be corroborated.
Sourcing and attribution
- Prefer at least two independent sources for significant factual claims.
- Use on-the-record sources wherever possible; explain why anonymity is used when it is.
- Credit original reporting and third-party material clearly.
- Distinguish confirmed facts from comment, analysis and rumour—especially on social media and user-submitted material.
- Give subjects a fair opportunity to respond before publication when coverage may portray them negatively.
Balance and diverse voices
In line with Our Code of Ethics, We seek balanced, logical presentation of issues and include diverse perspectives so coverage is not dominated by a single viewpoint. We also aim to hear from communities and stakeholders who lack large public platforms.
Breaking news and updates
We may update stories as facts develop. Material changes are noted on the article when appropriate. Significant errors are corrected promptly under Our Corrections Policy, including clear correction notes and, where warranted, public apology.
Readers may suggest corrections via the “Suggest A Correction” option on reports or by writing to gaurav[at]mpbreakingnews.in.
Advertising, sponsored content and partnerships
Paid or partner content is labelled at the outset so readers can distinguish it from editorial journalism. Native advertising, brand partnerships and press releases are not presented as independent newsroom reporting unless explicitly identified as such.
User-generated and third-party content
Material from users, social platforms or external sites is verified before use where practicable. We do not assume submissions are accurate and apply additional scrutiny to lobby, promotional or unverified online sources, as described in Our Fact Checking Policy.
Sensitive and high-impact coverage
Stories involving minors, victims of crime, health emergencies, elections, courts and national security receive heightened editorial review. We avoid unnecessary harm, respect legal and regulatory constraints, and consult senior editors when in doubt.
Editorial review and accountability
Reporters are responsible for reporting, writing and initial fact-checking. Editors review work before publication; the level of review depends on complexity, sensitivity and time pressure. Allegations trigger outreach to affected parties and independent verification before publication when feasible.
Our ethical commitments—including neutrality, accuracy over speed, source credit, correction of errors, and protection of editorial staff under pressure—are defined in Our Code of Ethics.
Ownership and funding transparency
Information about who owns and funds MP Breaking News is published in Our Ownership & Funding disclosure.
